EZAA Meeting – 4pm, 2/2/2008, Union 3202 EZAA Alumni Award: -To be given to EZ alum(s) every 5 years at the anniversary banquet, including our recent anniversary, which will be given out within the next year retroactively. -Nominations will be taken from EZAA members for a period of several months. The EZAA officers (including past presidents and current EZ president) will vote on the nominations based on their commitment to any or all of the following criteria (these are just guidelines): -Service to the EZ Alumni Association -Service to the chapter -Involvement in community service on any level -Volunteering resources to help RPI -Service to (and through) APO on any level -Recipients will receive a certificate and their name on a plaque (to be displayed in the EZ office). They will also have $100 donated to a charity of their choice on behalf of the EZAA. -If an officer is nominated, they would not participate in the award decision-process -Any EZ alum may nominate or be nominated. EZAA Event Ideas: -BBQ or picnic -Happy hour, pub crawl, local trivia -Service events Can invite local APO chapters to make it a larger event (and give actives more service opportunities) Could couple with dinner, party, or other evening activities. -Dinner at a brothers’ place. -We can have EZAA events anywhere that there is an interested group of alumni. -If you have more ideas or would like to host and event, then let us know! Alternative Meeting Formats: -Possibility of teleconference or internet meetings discussed. -Would allow for higher attendance and more impromptu meetings when brothers cannot make it to RPI. -Could also allow for additional meetings during the year, allowing brothers who live far from RPI to be able to attend and give their input to the EZAA. Glump Newsletter: -Will release in the fall, prior to our meeting. -Request for articles, news, and other fun stuff will be forthcoming. Next Business Meeting: -Columbus Day weekend, October 11th or 12th, exact time/location TBA. Meeting adjourned for Sun Chips, fresh vegetables, and a vacation to Tijuana.
