The camp was in a very run-down condition, having been vandalized over the winter, plus having less than satisfactory upkeep due to manpower shortages added onto inferior construction. The cabins at this overnight camp were in very poor shape, with holes punched through most of the walls. While at Camp Barker, the members put up new outside walls on ten cabins, laid the cement underneath five council fire rings and subsequently built the fireplaces atop these cement slabs, cleaned out the inside of all the cabins, cleared rocks from the athletic fields, and erected soccer goals and a softball backstop. Epsilon Zeta donated $1000 of its own funds torwards the materials and supplies needed for this project. They anticipate returning one weekend over the summer and again the next academic year to do further work at this camp.
