Home > Documents > Newspaper Articles > Library automated Published in Rensselaer Polytechnic on April 1972.Pledges and brothers of Alpha Phi Omega, the RPI service fraternity, volunteered their time and efforts from 6:00 p.m. April 15, to 6:00 a.m. April 16, to keypunch the Library's holdings for the new computer circulation system. The brothers are: Robert Latham, supervisor; Robert Sieffert, coordinator; Greg DeSalvatore, Doug Michael, King Gee, Jim Kilcoyne, David Good, Steven Herman, Jack Lorthioir, Philip Mizesko, Charles Pichette, Richard Santowski, Steve Schoenberg, Ted Wasilewski and George Spagna. They, along with Pete Pallag who has been keypunching for us on his own, were complimented for assisting the Library in converting to this new system. This concerted effort should complete the keypunching of the some 100,000 volumes. |
