Home > Documents > Newspaper Articles > Scholarship offered Published in Rensselaer Polytechnic on August 2004.RPI's Alpha Phi Omega chapter is offering a $1,000 community service scholarship to incoming freshmen this fall. The winner of the APO Community Service Award will have the amount added to their fall financial aid package. In order to apply for the scholarship, students must submit an essay no longer than 600 words describing their involvement in community service and leadership and also attach a list of activities of these types that they have participated in. Some essay topics that they have suggested are "Why do you do community service?", "What do you get from community service?", and "How do you plan to continue doing community service in the future?".
