Home > Documents > Newspaper Articles > APO Initiates Pledge Class; Installs Officers Published on December 1958.Sunday, December 7, the Epsilon Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega initiated its Fall Pledge Class into Brotherhood. The new brothers are, Stuart Webster, Scott Bonis, Ralph Kummler, Paul Hansen, Al Glaubinger, Martin Lewis, Steve Shapiro, John Templin, Richard Salzmann, Charles Jonas, Montgomery Demeritt, Dave Rees, Charles Levan, John Hotaling and Bill Melberg. The ceremony, held in the Union Reading Room, marked the end of pledgeship for the Fall Class, named the Alfred Schweitzer Pledge Class. Afterwards, the new officers were offiically inaugurated. They are: Dave Cook, President; Dick Shaw, Vice-President; John Sedlak, Vice-President; Bert Reiner, Recording Secretary; Mitchell Small, Treasurer; Scott Bonis, Corresponding Secretary; Ralph Kummler, Alumni Secretary; Steve Shapiro, Historian; John Templin, Sergeant-at-Arms. |
