A Message from EZ
Hey alumni,
Here's a quick update on what has been going on with EZ recently.
This spring Alyssa Pasquale Pledge Class saw 14 awesome
new members initiated, bringing the brotherhood at the
end of the spring semester to 71 brothers! The pledge fundraiser
this semester was charging students to duct tape GM and
PU candidates to the lamppost and railing outside of Sage dining
hall; they made ~$140.
This year for MMOC each candidate donated their profits to an
organization of their choice. This years MMOC was Laban
Coblentz, the Chief of Staff and Associate Vice President for
Policy and Planning at RPI. In total, more than $2600 was
raised for charity. (The full list of participants and final results
can be found at
http://apo.union.rpi.edu/mmoc/).
Because of our growth this semester, we planned out two overnighters.
We just had our first overnighter at Camp Rotary
where we moved a lot of brush and logs and then split the logs
into firewood; our second overnight trip was volunteering at
Camp Chingachgook.
As a chapter we are also looking into the possibility of hosting
a bike share program on campus, where students would be able
to borrow bikes through our office. The chapter is also hard at
work with the planning of the fall 2010 sectionals conference
that will be held at RPI the weekend of November 5-7th, 2010,
which you are invited encouraged to attend. It will be themed
Revenge of the Nerds: Solving the Equation of Service.
