A Message from EZ
Well, it's the start of a brand new year here at RPI, made even
more exciting by the random acts by brothers, new pledges and
projects underway. Last spring, we initiated 13 new brothers
(of the Ed Pollack Pledge Class) giving us a total of 35 active
brothers and 45 overall coming into the fall. Last semester,
with the addition of online donations, EZ was able to raise an
unprecedented $3047 from MMOC, all of which was donated
to The Heifer Project. Roger Grice was victorious by a margin
of over 6000 votes, while "The Game" placed at a lowly last
place.
EZ has kept the momentum rolling into this semester as well.
With the chapter expanding each semester, so have our capabilities
and impact on the campus and community. The service
program keeps growing, as we begin increasing our involvement
with Scouting (projects with the Cub, Boy, and Girl
Scouts). We've successfully hosted Launch and Explore
courses (LEADS...) and have submitted a bid for the Fall '10
Sectionals. Lastly we have 12 pledges this semester (of the
Jack A. McKenzie Pledge Class). A lot is changing, but some
things remain the same, like the shabby couches in the back
office, late night food runs and former students that won’t leave
(yay Chris Calebrese).
Upcoming is EZAA Day, which centers around EZAA’s Fall
meeting. In the morning of Nov 14th we will be working on the
trails at Frear Park and in the afternoon there will be alumni vs.
current brothers volleyball. Lastly our End of Brotherhood
Week Party is scheduled for Friday Dec 4th, with Initiations
Saturday Dec 5th. Hope to see you out at RPI!
Yours in Leadership, Friendship and Service,
-Jess "My Hero" Sitzer
