A Letter From The Chapter President

This semester, it is my plan for the chapter to review our current programs like the lost and found and book exchange to establish long term goals for them and how to best achieve those goals.

Regular office hours will be set up at which brothers can meet with me to discuss chapter programs and events. In an effort to have better communication with our advisors, I will contact each of them to make sure that we have an advisor at the ceremonies, set up an advisor mixer, and hold advisor meetings. In addition, I will be looking into getting two new advisors who can provide additional resources and support to our chapter.

I would like to have an academics chair appointed, who will be responsible for seeing that we have a room reserved for studying which will be a service to our active and associate brothers.

With the support of the SVP and executive committee, as well as the brotherhood, I hope to establish a long term service project committee. This committee will be asked to determine the availability of service projects in the Capital Region that the brotherhood could work on over three or four semesters, starting next fall. In addition to looking for long term service projects, the committee will also be reporting to the brotherhood on what service projects are available in the fall semester for our chapter’s 60th anniversary that we can do with our alumni.

In Leadership, Friendship and Service, David Pettengill
